Toasted Sugar is an artisan bakery dedicated to introducing you to the wonderful world of baked goods made with local, freshly-milled flour. Each delicious treat is handmade with the utmost care and respect for the ingredients. Our baked goods contain locally sourced heirloom wheat, rye, oats, corn, and ancient grains such as spelt and einkorn flours.
The Baker and Her Bakery
Hi, I’m Summer and I am the founder of Toasted Sugar bakery. I am a classically trained chef, turned baker, with a passion for crafting delicious baked goods and sourdough bread. I started Toasted Sugar with the main goal of introducing people to the magic of local, freshly-milled, organic, whole grain and ancient grain flours. Using these flours not only provides amazing flavor and texture to baked goods and breads, it also supports local farms and farmers. I love taking childhood favorites and elevating them by using the highest quality and locally-sourced ingredients, right down to the very grains that the flours are made from. I make all of my products by hand, the old-fashioned way, and you will definitely taste the difference!
